According to a report today from Paidcontent.org, Santa Monica-based Rubicon Project, the online advertising firm founded by Frank Addante, is in talks with News Corp. to fold the firm in with the Fox Audience Network (FAN). The report cites sources close to the deal. Paidcontent reports that News Corp. would take an equity stake in post-merger Rubicon. Rubicon is venture backed by Clearstone Venture Partners, IDG Ventures, Mayfield, and others.
