Rivian Sees App Outage

Electric car maker Rivian appears to have run into some app, customer account web page, and website functionality on Monday, telling its users that they cannot use their app to access their vehicles, and must use a key fob or key band. It's unclear what caused the issues, however, leaked emails from Rivian to owners telling them not to open the Rivian app, and that they would provide free rideshare rides to its owners who were stranded due to a lack of a key. Rivian did not say how long the issue would take to resolve. The auto manufacturer has a fairly large employee presence in Orange County.
