Calabasas-based Sabeus said this morning that it has acquired Van Nuys-based Aragon Technologies, a developer of laser technology. Terms were not disclosed. Sabeus will integrate Aragon's technology for narrow line width, low phase noise lasers into its advanced sensing applications. Aragon founders Armando Montalvo and Al Garden have also joined Sabeus as executives. Sabeus is a developer of acoustic sensing and telecommunications sub systems used by the oil field and military industry. The company develops subsurface sensing systems, perimeter security, and fiber optic towed arrays.
