SmartDrive Systems Claims Record Growth

San Diego-based SmartDrive Systems, which develops video-based, driver monitoring systems, announced today that it had record growth in its second quarter and first half of 2016. The company did not disclose any financials, but said it saw nearly 200% growth in the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2015. The company said such new customers as the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and the Administrative Services Cooperative (Yellow Cab) taxi group have recently adopted its products. SmartDrive is led by CEO Steve Mitgang.
