Snapchat Adds $4.5M More To $50M Round

Venice, California-based Snapchat, the developer of the popular social media app, has added $4.5M in venture funding--and three new investors--as part of its Series C funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the company today. Details on the new funding were not announced by the company. Snapchat had raised the initial $50M in its Series C back in December, from Coatue Management; the company's has previously raised funding from Institutional Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Benchmark Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and SV Angel. It's unclear if the small amount of new funding comes from any of those investors or elsewhere. More information »
