Irvine-based Specific Media said this morning that it has launched a new ad platform, which it says will simplify management and delivery of advertising. According to Specific Media, its new Dynamic Display product allows advertisers to control and customize up to three areas in an ad template, specifically targeted to a user and user profile. The firm said the offering can be used to highlight different products, business locations, and sales incentives based on distinct audience profiles. Apparently, the new program is being used by American Airlines in a current advertising effort to reach holiday travelers. Specific Media operates an Internet advertising network, which allows advertisers to specifically target consumers based on their demographics.
