Irvine-based Specific Media, an online advertising network, announced this morning that the firm has launched a new, specialized political targeting solution. The firm said that the new product will allow advertisers to anonymous target consumers by party affiliation, segments, and issues. Specific Media operates an online ad network which allows advertisers to target ad viewers by different demographics; the latest offering is targeted at taking advantage of political advertising ahead of the presidential election in November. According to Specific Media, the new offering will allow advertisers to target their audience by party affiliation, whether that is as a conservative, moderate, liberal, ethnic minotiry republican, democrat, or independent; the firm said it can also target users by their stance on civil rights, education, environment, healthcare, immigration, the Iraq war, and other areas of interest.
