San Diego-based StockTwits, the stock-focused micro messaging and discussion startup headed by Howard Lindzon, announced today that it has inked a distribution partnership with Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail. StockTwits said that the newspaper will use its Ticker Streams on a number of its pages across the site. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. StockTwits has been pursuing partnerships with major content sites, including Yahoo! Finance, CNN Money, Reuters.com and Bing Finance, to feature the information streams and discussions on those sites. StockTwits offers up a micro messaging service, patterned after Twitter, but focused on discussing publicly traded stocks. Lindzon is the former founder of Wallstrip and an active angel investor.
