Stratolaunch Shifts Aim To Defense, Not Space

Mojave-based Stratolaunch, the space rocket venture of late Microsoft mogul Paul Allen, seemed to be at the brink of shutdown after Allen's death, but--at the last moment--was acquired by a private equity investor. Wired took a look at what's going on at Stratolaunch, which has pivoted itself to providing supersonic testing services for the defense industry.
