Strix Adds Mobile Products

Calabasas-based Strix Systems, a provider of wireless mesh networking products, said Wednesday that it has rolled out a new system focused on mobile, in-vehicle systems. The firm said its new Mobile Wireless System connects vehicles into its Access/One outdoor wireless system. The new product is being targeted at public safety, railway, municipal, and other networks. According to Strix, the hardware can be used for on-board video surveillance, voice over IP, and critical data applications. Strix develops wireless mesh networking equipment, which allow for the creation of WiFi networks without wired connections to every wireless access point.
