San Diego-based Tarari announced yesterday that it has teamed with Layer 7 Technologies to deliver a XML Firewall Blade for IBM's BladeCenter servers. The new blade provides high performance XML security and acceleration from Tarari with Layer 7's policy processing and enforcement. The blade is being targeted at XML security applications. Tarari's XML processors offload XML security processing used for Web Services and other XML-based protocols, allowing for higher performance and throughput of those applications. Tarari is backed by Crosspoint, Intel, Miramar, Morgan Stanley, and XMLFund.
