Aliso Viejo-based Telogis, a developer of location based fleet management, GPS route planning and navigation tracking software, said this week that it has rolled out a new mapping API based on Microsoft Silverlight. According to the company, its GeoBase Silverlight APi allows users to create rich mapping and routing applications on the web, and ties together Microsoft Silverlight and the firm's own GeoStream web server and GeoBase map engine. Among features of the API are support for advanced routing operations, turn-by-turn instructions, traffic data, and more. Telogis develops software used by fleets to manage fuel use, routing, deployment, route planning, and other fleet functions.
