Electric car firm Tesla Motors is looking to clog up traffic a bit more along Santa Monica boulevard this morning, as the firm kicks off a 2,700 mile roadtrip starting at its Los Angeles store at 10 today. According to Tesla, Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen, its customers, and employees are gathering at the store this morning to kick off a road trip to the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. The promotional event is part of a series of events from Los Angeles to Detroit to promote the firm's electric cars. Tesla, which is based in Silicon Valley, is sending 16 employees along on the ride.
