Tesla Pulls Out Patents Acquired In Maxwell Technologies Buy

Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla is in a patent infringement lawsuit, using patents it acquired when it purchased San Diego-based Maxwell Technologies in 2019. In a new lawsuit, Tesla has sued Australian battery technology company Cap-XX, alleging Cap-XX has infringed on supercapacitor patents its acquired when it purchased Maxwell Technologies.
