The Young Turks' Cenk Uygur Throws Hat In Presidential Race

Cenk Uygur, the head of Culver City-based The Young Turks (www.tytnetwork.com) has thrown his hat into the ring for the 2024 Presidential race, saying on Wednesday he will run for President as a Democrat in 2024, against President Biden. Uygur--who was born in Turkey--would be a long shot in the race, and said he might have to take his case to the U.S. Supreme Court due to the "natural born citizen" clause of the U.S. Constitution. Uygur--who has spoken with this publication in the past--runs a news and politics network, which is available both online as well as on cable networks.
