TigerText Launches Pager Replacement App

Santa Monica-based TigerText, the developer of secure messaging apps for the healthcare industry, announced this morning that it has launched a new, HIPAA compliant smartphone app which lets users turn their smart phones into virtual pagers. The firm said its new app, "TigerPage", functions like a conventional pager, and also adds features like voice messages, message transcription, and one-click call backs. The company said the app is aimed at users who are accustomed to traditional pager systems. The app runs on both iPhone and Android. TigerText's apps are aimed at doctors and other healthcare workers, providing HIPAA compliant secure messaging over smartphones.
