Transphorm Gets Design Win In PV Microinverter

Geoleta-based Transphorm said earlier this week that it has scored a win in a design for a solar microinverter design. According to the company, its gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors were selected by DAH Solar Co., Ltd. (Anhui Daheng New Energy Technology Co., LTD/subsidiary of DAH Solar). Financial impact of the design win was not announced. Microinverters are used to convert DC power from solar panels into AC power usable in households.
