TriZetto Buys CareKey

Newport Beach-based TriZetto Group announced this morning that it has acquired CareKey, a provider of advanced care management software, for $60M in cash and $40M in earnout. The company said that the acquisition would result in a broader, integrated portfolio of IT products for healthcare payers. The two companies have had a strategic relationship since December of 2003, and have already developed a jointly developed product suite called CareAdvance Enterprise. TriZetto is a provider of healthcare management software.
