United Online Rolls Out New Dialup Plan

Woodland Hills-based United Online is continuing to squeeze as many profits and customers out of its declining dial-up Internet access business as it can, saying this morning that its NetZero division has launched a new, toll free dialup plan targeted at people who do not have local connection numbers to connect to the Internet. NetZero said the firm targets the five percent of the United States where there are very limited options for local dial-up Internet service. The company said the new toll free plan will cost $19.95 a month for 30 hours of access.
