San Diego-based V-ENABLE said this morning that it has launched a new, mobile directory assistance service. The firm said that its FreeMobile411 mobile search service will allow users on any carrier to receive 411 business and residential listings, along with retrieving maps, driving directions, and other business information. V-ENABLE is a developer of voice powered and text based The service is a version of the firm's mobile services that it has previously provided to Alltell and MetroPCS. The new service also can connect users into operator-assisted 411 services; however, carrier charges for 411 services apply in those instances.
