Irvine-based Vangard Voice Systems said Wednesday that the firm has raised $2M in a Series B funding round, form Berkshire Ventures, LLC. Vangard develops software tools for voice-enabling enterprise applications. The round is the second to come from Berkshire, which invested $3M in an earlier funding in 2006, along with angel support. Vangard's voice recognition software is used to enable voice recognition in applications--for example, filling out medical forms, logistics, and elsewhere.
