Los Angeles- and San Diego-based Veoh Networks, which operates an online, user-generated video site, has launched a new behavioral targeting product aimed at advertisers. Veoh announced the new system this morning, saying that the product will allow its marketers to target their advertising by when they're watching videos, what types of programming their watching, or a particular show. The company claimed that the targeting system will help advertiser lift the performance of their ads, based on their tests during a beta of the service. Veoh is venture backed by Shelter Capital Partners, Spark Capital, Michael Eisnerís Tornante Company, Goldman Sachs, Time Warner Inc., Intel Capital, Adobe Systems, Gordon Crawford, Tom Freston and Jonathan Dolgen.
