San Diego-based Verimatrix reported this week that the firm is deploying its content security technology in Mexico, as part of an install at cable operator Cablemas. According to Verimatrix, its products are being used as part of a enhanced digital cable service, over an advanced DVB-C/IP/DOCSIS network. Size of the deployment, and financial impact, was not announced by the company. Verimatrix develops technology used to prevent copying of video content through pay TV services.
