Virgin Galactic Cutting Staff

Orange County-based Virgin Galactic, the space tourism company which has only recently started launching private space tourists into space, is cutting an unspecified number of jobs, according to a leaked memo from the company. According to the memo, which was sent to staff on Tuesday, the company blamed "uncertainty in capital markets" and "geopolitical unrest" for the cuts. It's unclear how many employees are being let go; the company reportedly had around 1,100 employees earlier this year.
