Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor has unveiled two new, Gigabit Ethernet PHYs, used for connecting hardware into Gigabit Ethernet networks. The firm said that its two new products provide highly integrated, reduced power for Gigabit Ethernet networks. The company's SimpliPHY VSC8601 and VSC8641, support 600mW power consumption and are targeted for integration onto motherboards, switches, and other products by manufacturers.
