Vitesse To Return To NASDAQ

In what has been a six year saga, Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor, the maker of networking and communications ICs, is returning to the NASDAQ Global Market. The firm announced the move this morning, saying that it has been approved for listing on the NASDAQ Global Market on March 2nd. Vitesse was delisted by the Nasdaq in 2006 after it--along with a slew of other technology firms--was caught up in a stock options backdating scandal. It's been a long road for the firm since then, which went through a management shakeup, restructuring, and more before finally reaching a settlement with the SEC in December. The firm said it will be listed as VTSS.
