Vokle Gets New Investment




Irvine-based Vokle, which operates an online, live web streaming and broadcasting service, has scored $767,000 in a new round of funding, according to lead investor the Tech Coast Angels. The TCA said the new round was led by Dave Berkus. The TCA said that Vokle has now raised $1.26M in funding. Vokle will use the new funding to develop its audience and users, as well as to add staff and facilities. Vokle's platform includes interactive features and enables both broadcasting of live video and interaction with those video hosts. The service has been used in broadcasts featuring Al Gore, Imogen Heap, Arianna Huffington, Willow Bay, Sir Richard Branson and Tony Robbins, among others. The firm is headed by Robert Kiraz.
