WD Certifies With Windows To Go

Irvine-based hard drive maker WD, said today that one of its portable hard drives, its My Passport Enterprise, has been certified with Microsoft's Windows To Go program. The program allows corporate customers to provide a full, bootable Windows 8 workspace on a bootable USB drive. The company said the new feature from Microsoft lets users easily carry, boot, and run their own, personal version of Windows 8 on any personal PC. The hard drive is specifically designed to work with Microsoft's new feature, and supports 500GB of storage space. The firm said the new product will be available on October 26th.
