WebSideStory Sued By NetRatings

San Diego-based WebSideStory, a provider of web analytics software and services, has been sued by NetRatings, a competing vendor. WebSideStory said yesterday that it believes the claims lack merit, and that it will defend itself against the complaint. The suit was filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. NetRatings also has lawsuits filed against Coremetrics, Omniture, SageMetrics, and Sane Solutions alleging patent infringement.
