Wedge Buster Gets $2.2M For Social, Mobile Sports Apps

Los Angeles-based Wedge Buster said this morning that it has launched its new, social sports gaming and mobile company, focused on developing a wide portfolio of sports games on both platforms. The firm said it has raised $2.2M in a Series A round, including such investors as Drew Brees (Super Bowl MVP), Rob Dyrdek (pro skater), 37 Technology Ventures, as well as other angels. The new company is headed by Scott Philp, and has already acquired and developed over 100 sports focused games. Wedge Buster said it has launched its games on Facebook, and will be soon launching on mobile platforms. More information »
