Monrovia-based Xencor, a developer of antibody discovery technology, said this morning that it has named Edgardo Baracchini, Ph.D., as Chief Business Officer at the company. Baracchini joins the firm from Metabasis Therapeutics, where he was Senior Vice President of Business Development. Dr. Baracchini also has served at Elitra Pharmaceuticals, Agouron Pharmaceuticals, as well as Isis Pharmaceuticals.
