Irvine-based YouMail, the startup headed by Alex Quilici which provides advanced voicemail services, said this week that it has hit one million registered users, and has now handled over 300 million calls. The firm said the increased user base came as a result of its new smart phone applications for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry. YouMail's voicemail service provides customized greetings to callers, transcription of calls into text or email, and voicemail filtering. The firm is venture backed by Vantage Point Venture Partners and the Tech Coast Angels.
