Los Angeles-based ZAM, a firm which operates an online community of Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) gamers, said Tuesday afternoon that it has acquired Tankspot, an online site focused on World of Warcraft videos. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. ZAM, which is backed by Goldman Sachs and Oak Investment Partners, said that Tankspot gets over 4 million video views a month. ZAM said that Tankspot founder Patrick O'Callahan joins the company as a part of the acquisition, and will continue to run the site.
