3D Robotics Raises $27M In Ongoing Round
Unmanned aerial vehicle maker 3D Robotics, which was started in San Diego but now is based in Berkeley, has raised nearly $27M as part of what looks to be an ongoing funding round. According to a regulatory filing by the company, the drone maker has raised $26,699,526 out of a target of $45M, in a round which kicked off on May 21st. The company has not yet announced details on the funding effort. The filing reports that so far, the company has 13 investors in the round. The funding will boost the total raised by the company to somewhere around $150M in total, when complete. 3D Robotics has previously raised funding from Atlantic Bridge Ventures, Foundry Group, Mayfield, O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, SanDisk, SK Ventures, True Ventures, WestSummit Capital Management, and Sir Richard Branson.
