AcceleratXR Launches Networking Engine For Video Game Market
Los Angeles-based AcceleratXR announced on Monday that it has launched itself into the videogaming software development tools market, with a new, real-time networking engine.b According to AcceleratXR, it has created a new, real-time networking engine for games and extended reality applications. AcceleratXR said its new software is inspired by the WebRTC protocol, and uses WebSockets in combination with SCTP, to replace the current, limited performance and lag that the current technique of using UDP causes with videogames being played on the Internet. AcceleratXR said its new engine will support the Unreal, Unity, and custom game engines, and is in active development and early testing with partners. The company's CEO is Jean-Philippe Steinmetz.
