ACTIVE Network Moves To Texas
In another blow to San Diego's technology industry, ACTIVE Network, the sports and recreation registration provider, said late Thursday that it is moving its headquarters to Dallas, Texas. According to ACTIVE Network, the transition will take place over the coming year. Active Network said it will continue to maintain a San Diego presence. Followers of San Diego's technology industry will not be surprised by the move, which comes shortly after Active Network went private and was acquired by private equity investor Vista Equity Partners. Vista Equity Partners has acquired a number of San Diego companies and moved them wholesale to Texas, including both Websense and Omnitracs.
