AeroVironment CEO Conver To Retire, Nawabi To Take Helm
Simi Valley-based Aerovironment, which both develops unmanned aerial vehicles as well as electric vehicle charging stations, said Monday morning that it has set Wahid Nawabi as its new Chief Executive Officer. Nawabi takes over from CEO Tim Conver, who is retiring, but remains Chairman of the company's baord of directors. Nawabi was most recently President and Chief Operating Officer of Aerovironment. Aerovironment said the handoff takes place on May 1st. Conver has been CEO for 25 years, since 1992, and took the company from $10M in revenues as a private company to its current revenues as a public company of $259M.
