AeroVironment Gets $46.2M Order
Monrovia-based AeroVironment said Tuesday that it has received a $46.2M order from the U.S. Army. The developer of unmanned aircraft systems said that the order was for 123, new Raven unamnned aircraft systems, plus another 186 digital retrofit kits for the U.S. marine Corps and 339 digital retrofit kits for the U.S. Army. The Raven is Aerovironment's hand-launched, 4.2 pound unmanned systems used for surveillance, reconnaissance, and situational awareness by the military.
