Los Angeles-based software provider Alelo said Wednesday that it has scored a win for its language training software with the Austrialian Defence Force. Alelo, which develops language and culture training software built on a video game platform, said that the Australian Defence Force will use the firm's product to teach spoken languages and cultures of Iraq and the Pashtun regions of Afghanistan. Alelo is a spinoff of the University of Southern California, and uses videogame technology to incorporate language training and culture. The firm's products are also being used by the US Marines and US Army.
