Animal Cell Therapies Scores $1.1M
San Diego-based Animal Cell Therapies, a biotech firm developing stem cell treatments for animals, has raised $1.1M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm Monday. No details on the funding have been released. The firm's CEO is Kathryn Petrucci, and the firm has a collaboration with San Diego's Stemedica, which is developing stem cells for human clinical trials. The firm's web site indicates that it is using research experience from Stemedica, based on institutions and scientists from Eastern Europe and Russia, as the basis of its products. More information »
