April Fools Fun: Ramen Noodle Headphones?
Irvine-based gaming products maker HyperX, and ramen noodle manufacturer Nissin Cup Noodles--based in Gardena--are getting in on the April Fool's fun, "announcing" a funny "headphone collaboration" which imagines headphones specifically for eating Cup Noodles. The two playfully "launched" what they called the HyperX MIX-IN, which they said is "specially designed to create the ultimate sensorial experience" for Cup Noodles Fans. The two continued, saying that the headphones seek to eliminate "slurping-based reverberations of eating Cup Noodles that often interrupt crucial video game streams" and also includes a "detachable noise-cancelling Microphork which allows gamers to enjoy their Cup Noodles, while still providing a clear, high quality line of communication to their teammates." The two claimed the Ramen Noodle headphones would be available for purchase at Nissan's website... but alas, were already sold out as of announcement time.
