BAE Systems Sells Ceramics Facilities In Vista
BAE Systems has sold its advanced ceramics facilities in Vista, California, to ceramics manufacturer CoorsTek, the firms said Thursday. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. According to the two companies, CoorsTek has acquired three facilities in Vista, totaling 106,000 square feet. Those facilities had been acquired by BAE Systems in June of 2005, through its acquisition of United Defense, Inc. The facilities are used to manufacture ceramic armor systems, semiconductor components and assemblies, and industrial components.
