BlackLine Names APAC Head

Los Angeles-based financial automation software developer BlackLine has boosted its leadership in the Asia Pacific region, saying on Monday that it has named Terry Smagh as Senior Vice President overseeing its Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Smagh will be based in Singapore. According to BlackLine, Smagh has more than 20 years of experience serving for such companies as Hyperion, IBM, Informatica, and Qlik. He most recently was working for IBM's Asia-Pacific cloud and analytics business. BlackLine says it has more than 150 customers based in the Asia-Pacific region, including ANZ Banking Group, Cold Storage, Coopervision, DuluxGroup, NETS, Qantas Airways, Scoot Tigerair and Tabcorp Holdings. BlackLine develops financial close automation software, which automates the extremely labor intensive reconciliation of accounts required during the financial close.
