Boingo Bundles With Motorola
Los Angeles-based Wi-Fi provider Boingo Wireless has scored a deal which bundles the firm's Wi-Fi networking services with Motorola's new MOTO Q 11 smartphone, the firm announced Monday. Financial details of the bundling deal were not disclosed. Boingo Wireless said that the MOTO Q 11 will include the firm's Boingo Mobile connection software and service, allowing consumers to connect to Boingo's network of wireless hotspots. The deal includes one free month of Boingo Mobile to new customers of Motorola; additional months cost $7.95 for unlimited access. Boingo said the deal represents the first handset manufacturer to bundle its software on a Wi-Fi enabled smartphone.
