CalAmp Settles Patent Suit With PROCON
Oxnard-based CalAmp said Wednesday that it has settled patent litigation between the firm and PROCON, a provider of location based tracking systems. According to the firms, PROCON and CalAmp have granted licenses relating to systems that apply Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) technology to track and report the location of vehicles. The cross license resolves all of the legal matters between the companies. The suit is one of a number of patent lawsuits CalAmp has against competitors in the GPS vehicle tracking market. Financial terms of the cross license were not disclosed.
