Cingular Rolls Out Mobile Music Service
Cingular has rolled out a new music service, Cingular Music, saying Thursday that it will offer mobile music content from a number of music subscription services, including Los Angeles-based Napster, Yahoo Music, and others. The mobile music service connects Cingular customers to any of a number of online music services, whose catalogs can be browsed from Cingular phones. Cingular said it wouldn't be charging subscribers for access to the music, however, subscribers will need subscriptions to the respective download services to access music. Other online music services included in the launch are eMusic, and XM Satellite Radio.
