Clarify Medical Gets $18M Funding
San Diego-based Clarify Medical, a developer of light-based systems for treating chronic skin conditions, has raised $18M in a new funding, according to investor H.I.G. BioHealth Partners. H.I.G. Biohealth Partners said it was the co-lead on the funding, which it called a "commercialization round" for Clarify Medical. According to H.I.G., the new funding go to further commercialize and developer Clarify's Home Light Therapy System, which is an FDA-cleared system for localized phototherapeutic treatment of dermatologic conditions such as psoriasis, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis (eczema), seborrheic dermatitis and leukoderma. The medical device is connected to a patient's smartphone allowing them to manage dose, frequency, and duration of the UV light therapy system. More information »
