Clicker.com To Launch Public Access
Los Angeles-based Clicker Media, a provider of an online programming guide to Internet television, said today that it is publicly launching its site, Clicker.com today. The startup, which is venture backed by Benchmark Capital and Redpoint Ventures, said its site includes guides to content in Netflix Instant Streaming, Amazon VOD, as well as another 1,200 sources. Clicker.com is headed by Jim Lanzone, former CEO of Ask.com. The firm's site had not yet gone live as of the announcement. The firm said that features which will go live on the site today include Facebook Connect integration, user-generated content, ability to search within television episodes for specific content, and machine-learning based programming suggestions.
