Cogent Systems Gets FBI Cert
Pasadena-based Cogent Systems, a developer of fingerprint readers and other biometric identification equipment, announced this morning that its handheld, mobile identification devices have been certified compliant with a FBI effort. The certification covers its Cogent Fusion, Mobile Ident II, and Mobile Ident III products. Cogent said the testing was part of the FBI's Next Generation Identification (NGI) Initiatives and Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS) Image Quality Specifications (IQS). Cogent is a developer of fingerprint readers and other biometrics hardware, used by government, law enforcement, and others.
