Conexant Rolls Out New WiFi Chip
Newport Beach-based Conexant has rolled out a new chip targeted at low power Wi-Fi, the company announced today. Conexant said that its new third generation, 802.11b/g device is targeted at battery-powered handheld products, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), MP3 players, and other hardware. The new CX53121 single chip solution provides wireless network functionality, power management, and support for Windows CE, Windows Mobile, and Linux.
